# First Year Move-Out Information For First-Year Students Move-Out **BEFORE VACATING YOUR SUITE COMPLETE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING** - Remove all trash and recyclables - Trash bags are in trash rooms - Clean bathroom (if applicable) - Clean/defrost Micro Fridge (if rented) - Vacuum/sweep floors - Put back any removed furniture - Return all dining hall items - Return lounge/outdoor furniture - Return library books - Get items from the laundry room - Items left behind will be collected at your expense - Take bicycles/scooters from the bike racks or buildings as they will be removed and donated **BEFORE LEAVING THE YARD** You must **return your key** and check out at Yard Operations during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. **Extended Move-Out Hours:** Thursday, May 14th 8am-8pm Friday, May 15th 8am-8pm Saturday, May 16th 7am-8pm Sunday, May 17th 7am-12pm When you check out after hours you must return your room key in the envelope that was dropped off in your door basket and extras will be outside our office door in Weld Hall Basement. **There is a term bill charge if we cannot verify the ownership of loose keys and for keys not returned.** **HARVARD YARD GATE SCHEDULE** Harvard Yard will be open for First Year Move-Out during the following hours: Sort**Date** **JOHNSTON GATE** **WIDENER GATE** Monday, May 11 8am – 4pm 4pm – 8pm Tuesday, May 12 8am – 4pm 4pm – 8pm Wednesday, May 13 8am – 4pm 4pm – 8pm Thursday, May 14 8am – 6pm 4pm – 8pm Friday, May 15 8am – 8pm 4pm – 8pm Saturday, May 16 7am – 8pm 7am – 8pm Sunday, May 17 7am – 12pm 7am – 12pm Please email if you are not moving out during these dates/times. Moving trucks with the box section larger than 15 feet will not be allowed in the Yard. Storage Pods, Store-to-Door and Door-to-Door storage trucks will not be allowed in the yard. **DONATE YOUR “STUFF”** Every year at Move Out several student service organizations will be collecting donations of dorm room “stuff” to support low-income families and keep usable items out of the trash. Please consider donating items you no longer need and are in good condition. Beginning the week of May 4th, you can drop items off at the TRASH/RECYLING ROOM for your building.
